Have you ever wanted to buy a hybrid sedan? The 2021 Honda Insight might convince you to do so if you haven’t considered one before. The Insight is an unassuming vehicle with a design that makes it look the same as most traditional gasoline vehicles while still providing the fuel efficiency benefits of a hybrid.
A few model years ago, the Insight looked quite different, but now that the vehicle has reached its third generation, the Insight is incarnated as a subcompact sedan with a sleek profile, sporty-looking wheels, and a powerful, minimalist front end. It may be one of the best-looking hybrids out there, but performance and features matter more. The chart below shows how the features differ between the three trim levels of the 2021 Honda Insight.
Leather-Trimmed Seats with Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel
160-Watt Audio System with 6-Speakers
Remote Engine Start
LED Fog Lights
Push Button Start
2.5-Amp USB Smartphone Audio Interface
450-Watt Premium Audio System with 10 Speakers and a Subwoofer
Model Comparison Analysis
Looking at each trim, the LX and EX aren’t nearly as different from each other as the Touring is from the first two. The EX may have more basic technological features, but most modern drivers would expect the added features of the EX to be standard. Those who choose the LX will likely do so to keep costs low. The Touring has all the luxury features every driver wants, but not every shopper will buy.
The EX trim will probably sell well as the balanced trim, but many are bound to be enticed to stretch their budget to accommodate the Touring trim. Still, the best way to tell which you would get is by trying it out yourself. Come to Honda of Santa Maria and test drive the Insight in person to make an educated choice.
