If you think you know family SUVs but you haven’t experienced the 2021 Honda Pilot, you still have a lot to learn. The 2021 Honda Pilot brings refinement, technology, comfort, safety, and more to the 3-row mid-size crossover format. The Pilot leaves so little to be desired, even at its base trim level, that it is hard to believe there are 7 trims to choose from.
Choosing the right trim level for you and your family’s needs involves some research. This page is dedicated to helping you pick out your favorite by giving you some insight as to which features you want or need the most. The chart below lists each trim in ascending order, meaning the LX trim is the lowest trim and the Black Edition is the highest trim.
|LX||3.5L V6 Engine with 280-Horsepower||8-Person Seating Capacity|
|EX||Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® Compatibility||One-Touch 2nd-Row Seats|
|EX-L||Leather-Trimmed Seats||One-Touch Power Moonroof|
|Special Edition||20-Inch Black Alloy Wheels||Wireless Phone Charger|
|Touring||590-Watt Premium Audio System||Rear Entertainment System|
|Elite||Heated and Ventilated Front Seats with Heated Steering Wheel||2nd-Row Captain’s Chairs|
|Black Edition||Black Edition Exterior and Leather Trim with Ambient LED Lighting||20-Inch Black Alloy Wheels|
The 2021 Honda Pilot is a large enough vehicle to warrant all 7 different trim levels. Not one of these trims feels or looks stripped down. The LX provides high tech safety technology like Honda Sensing® and a Multi-Angle Rearview Camera despite being the base trim level. Many shoppers will likely skip the LX to get a little more entertainment options and ease of access in the EX trim. The EX-L brings luxury features to a relatively low trim level. The Special Edition adds plenty of convenience features with a few practical upgrades. The Touring trim might be one of the most common choices for shoppers with large families who will regularly fill all the seats and make use of the rear entertainment system. The Elite could be the highest trim for some, as not everyone likes current automotive trend toward blackened trims like the Black Edition.
